Just finished reading the ARC... a very disturbing novel. This time, Jason really sticks it to the "successful professional class". Thematically, this excellent novel is a good companion to Westlake's _The Ax_, it's kind of a reverse mirror of it. Highly recommendable even to those who are not interested in crime novels. Yes, it is a crime novel, a brutal one in fact, but the subtext is telling the bigger story.

How does a country end up with college graduate who don't know how to do anything and are mainly interested in themselves?
