    I'm probably the only person who thinks this, but I consider GHOST DOG a sort of remake (or, as they say these days, re-imagining) of JOHNNY COOL, which was based on John McPartland's novel THE KINGDOM OF JOHNNY COOL.
     Jarmusch even cast Johnny Cool (Henry Silva) in a role in GHOST DOG. Bill Crider
