While I enjoyed THE FEVER KILL, I did find it a bit coincidental and stretching credulity in spots. I'd alternatively recommend THE COLD SPOT as a much stronger, more focused (in both plot and tone) work. It was chosen by the editors of Amazon (whoever they are) as one of the Top 10 Best Mysteries and Thrillers of 2008...and it deserved the honor.

I'm very much looking forward to the next in the series, THE COLDEST MILE, due out next month.
