I started late last night Dave Zeltserman's latest, SMALL CRIMES,
and I couldn't help finishing it in one sitting, staying up
reading it until two o'clock in the morning. Highly recommended
if you like your hardboiled as gloomy as a Greek tragedy.
Zeltserman's picture of a delusional narcissist is pitch-perfect,
and his portrait of the corrupt sheriff, Dan Pleasant, is scary.
He's scarier than the real bad guys in the book who use butcher
knife.
