I'm giving this book away to anyone who's willing to send me a book in return. It seems it's quite rare. There are two copies in Abebooks, both priced around 50$.

The book stars Jesse James, who's one of the female P.I's from the seventies and eighties (even though she's not technically a private eye, she works like one). The book was the fifth in the series, but the only one to come from Women's Press. I think this was also the last one.

It seems that Meg O'Brien is writing romance novels nowadays, but she started out as a hardboiled writer. I didn't much like the book, although it has an interesting premise: Jesse James gets a visitor who turns out to be his own father, a two-bit hustler who's running from some bad guys.

Anyone willing to get this? All I'm asking is that I receive a hardboiled paperback in return and it certainly doesn't have to be in the same price category, not even close.

    Juri
