While I have not yet read it, I believe the recent Benjamin Black (John Banville) novel THE LEMUR deals with crime in a corporate, if not Wall Street, setting. I read the first few chapters in serial form in THE NEW YORK TIMES SUNDAY MAGAZINE, and it was not bad. Also not sure if it would qualify as hard-boiled, but what I read had a noirish feel to it.
On this topic, any opinions on Black/Banville? His first book, CHRISTINE FALLS, seemed to get some good reviews.
