    Late to the party again, but thought I'd mention that in the late 80s, LaBrava was scheduled to be filmed with Dustin Hoffman. A producer friend was doing it and was gaga over the script. I don't know what happened.

      I just finished LaBrava a few days ago. It is basically a riff on the noir films of the 40's. LaBrava is a photographer who only works in black and white, for instance. I thought it was ok but not nearly the best Leonard I've read.
