    Catching up on old posts, including this one about the novel IN A LONELY PLACE. Noting that it was said here that the film and novel are wildly at variance, would the novel version make a good film? Nowadays, I mean?

      That is EXACTLY the way it is. Amazing film, amazing novel, essentially
      nothing in common. The novel is easily the best thing Hughes ever wrote,
      IMHO.
