After seeing an ad in the back of an old paperback copy of A Time of Predators for Frank McAuliffe's Augustus Mandrell books, I purchased the Point Blank reprint of Of All The Bloody Cheek, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I noticed McCauliffe wrote two non Mandrell books, Hot Town and The Bag Man. Are they worth reading? Are they humorous, like the Mandrell stories, or are they in a more serious vein?
