Thanks for the posting. I enjoyed reading of your connection
to Ross Macdonald, as I enjoyed Tom Nolan's Macdonald
biography. A couple of years ago, I spent a two days in the
library at UC Irvine looking through Macdonald's notebooks
which you describe so well. So many things about Macdonald
are interesting and surprising.
