Brennan was a pulp writer, since he actually started out writing Westerns for the pulps. Here's his listing from the Fictionmags index*:

Vengeance Trail (ss) Western Short Stories Apr 1949 A Handshake for the Marshal (ss) Western Short Stories Nov 1949 Gun Champion's Choice (ss) Western Short Stories Jan 1950 Endurance (ss) The Masked Rider Western Magazine Feb 1950 Horror at the Silver Rainbow (ss) Western Novel and Short Stories Sep 1950 War Party (ss) Western Short Stories Jan 1951 Killer in Town (ss) Fifteen Western Tales Sep 1951 The Hanging (ss) Western Short Stories Mar 1952 The Green Parrot (ss) Weird Tales Jul 1952 The Scalp of Milo Rue (ss) Big-Book Western Magazine Sep 1952 Man Alone (ss) Western Story Magazine Oct 1952 First Command (ss) Western Short Stories Feb 1953 High Odds (ss) 2-Gun Western Nov 1954 Enos (ss) Western Short Stories Sep 1955

Sure, not all of these were pulps by the rigid standards at the time, but the late fourties' and early fifties' mags most certainly were.

There's also this: Real Bird Lover (nf) The Master Detective Sep 1950, which seems like a true-crime mag. Don't really know.
