Brennan was a pulp writer, since he actually started out
writing Westerns for the pulps. Here's his listing from the
Fictionmags index*:

Handshake for the Marshal (ss) Western Short Stories Nov 1949
Gun Champion's Choice (ss) Western Short Stories Jan 1950
Endurance (ss) The Masked Rider Western Magazine Feb 1950
Horror at the Silver Rainbow (ss) Western Novel and Short

Sure, not all of these were pulps by the rigid standards at
the time, but the late fourties' and early fifties' mags most
certainly were.
There's also this: Real Bird Lover (nf) The Master Detective
Sep 1950, which seems like a true-crime mag. Don't really
know.
