Lyons wrote 23 books, including the Jacob Ashe detective
series, as well as Dead Ringer, Three On a Bullet and the
paperback sensation DEATH ON THE CHEAP: The Lost 'B' Movies
of Film Noir. He was the director of the annual summer Palm
Springs Film Noir Festival.
Sad to say Art died of a stroke on Friday. I always have a
good time at his noir fest. He'll be missed.
