If you're ever in Philly you can view David Goodis related
interviews with friends, relatives scholars, etc. They're in
the Special Collections department in Paley Library. Those
interviews include:
Bernie Shapiro (cousin) Leonard Cobrin (friend since 1938)
David Schmid (Goodis scholar) Aaron Finestone (Goodis expert)
Robert Withers (Elaine Astor Goodis Withers' second husband)
Jay Gertzman (Goodis scholar) and others
There are three other interview that will be added at a later
