I do agree with others that it wasn't the discussion of
movies per se that was the problem, but the ways in which
they were being discussed. This is a literature board first
and foremost, agreed, but noir and hard-boiled are
multi-media phenomena and that fact shouldn't be ruled out of
bounds just because of a lout or two.
By the way, if you think William Ahearn's posts were
offensive, you haven't *lived* until you've received a
private message from him.
