I don't know which Spenser involves NCAA basketball, but the baseball book you refer to is MORTAL STAKES.

Another sports-oriented Spenser novel is THE JUDAS GOAT, in which Spenser is hired to go after a gang of terrorists. In the course of his hunt, he discovers that the terrorist cell is going to target the Olympics.
