And the film, The Boston Strangler, was also shot using split screens. As a result, it was difficult to watch on TV and VHS. Now that technology has evolved to larger home viewing screens and wide-screen DVDs, the film is worth watching again. And it's a good film. The original Thomas Crown -- shot on split screen by no less than Haskell Wexler -- was never a favorite of mine as the whole flick seemed forced and self-conscious. Didn't care for the remake either. Just wanted to mention a split screen flick that worked.
