That's the rep that the film has so a lot of people agree
with you. I saw them both as a double feature recently and
that was disconcerting in that the two films have nothing to
do with one another. Even so, Curse just seemed a tad too
sweet for me and if they wanted to do a character study, why
hire the cast from Cat People to do it? All of that was very
distracting to me.
