Yes, I agree with you. In the eighties there was a remake of
"Cat People" with Natasja Kinsky. Original Touneur movie was
really superior.

Never saw it. The original film didn't seem to suffer being
made at the time it was made. No suppressed sexual or violent
content. I'm not a big westerns fan and I haven't read the
Leonard story, yet I liked the original film a lot. Some
films just don't need to be remade. Psycho comes to mind . .
