This thread seems like a good place to mention that the
British Crime Writers Association has recently announced that
the Diamond Dagger, for Lifetime Achievement, will be awarded
to Sue Grafton this year.
Which reminds me, apropos of nothing to do with female
writers, other than that he's married to his occasional
collaborator, Marcia Muller, it's worth noting that another
long-time member of the hard-boiled fraternity, Bill
Pronzini, has been announced as the winner of ths year's
Grand Master Award, MWA's counterpart to CWA's Diamond
Dagger.
