RARA-AVIS: Re: female authors

For my own part, I'll throw out Barbara Seranella, whose rough-living Munch Mancini was essentially her alter-ego, and Mercedes Lambert, who had a great trilogy of hardboiled/noir novels about a female lawyer in LA. Lambert was her pen name, but she wrote one novel, HOSTILE WITNESS, under her real name, Douglas Ann Munson. Both authors, sadly, are no longer with us.
