I don't know how hard boiled she is, but I also enjoy Sparkle
Hayter's series about a tv reporter. yeah, her name is
Sparkle
I've read a few Edna Buchanan's. she recalls some interesting
anecdotes from her years as a crime reporter. but her novels
never seem to go anywhere
