Re: RARA-AVIS: Themes of Revenge in Joe Gores's Work

I just finished GLASS TIGER (2006), also a stand-alone with strong revenge themes. In this one, there are not one but two combat-trained killers involved. Here Gores explores their contrasting approach to dealing with violence, committed both by and against them, spread over their lives. The two men have practically identical pasts and skills, but are very different in how they handle those who murder their family and friends. It's an interesting exploration, and a good book, structured as a thriller. Cheers,
