For fans of boxing fiction, I don't think you can beat Eddie
Muller's THE DISTANCE. It's pure hardboiled manna. You'll
also want to keep an eye out for David Fulmer's THE BLUE
DOOR, the story of a washed up middleweight in 60's
Philadelphia. It's due out in early 2008, but I've read the
ARC and it is fantastic.
