I enjoyed reading Dorothy Hughes' THE SO BLUE MARBLE, though it's not really pure noir. I see that RIDE THE PINK HORSE was made into a movie by Robert Montgomery (1947). I've not seen the movie, but the book does sound like a good read, Juri, to move at the top of my pile.
