I've been reading "Eight Million Ways to Die" recently, in
part due to some of the discussion on here and I'm really
enthralled by how good it is. This is my first Scudder book
and I've loved everything I read by Block, but this book has
a much deeper sense of character and Matt's alcoholic despair
than anything else I've read by him.
Block really is hard to classify, but G damn is he
good!
