Let's let Altman rest in peace. He died quite recently and
his body of work has already entered Film Parnassus. And
let's not confuse a person with his work, let alone with one
piece of his work. By playing Dante in this selective
fashion, you could condemn Beethoven to a special circle for
having written Wellington's Victory, a dreadful work, or
Mozart, for having written some of those pieces where he was
just spinning his wheels, or any writer who wrote a bad
book.
