I finished reading William Gay's TWILIGHT (2006), described
as
"Southern Gothic". It's a good story about an undertaker who
partakes in unsavory acts with his dead clients, among other
violent, crazy things. Gay writes in a stylish Southern
voice, maybe not everybody's cup of tea. Worth checking out
if you're a fan of the subgenre.
