Small point of order here. It's not "blame" being assessed here, so much as responsibility. They're asking you (and all of us) to act like adults and not respond to flame bait. It's a time-honored Rara Avis tradition.

By so doing you also leave it to the mods to handle said, "loud mouth."

Oh, and by the way, no one's suggesting you not respond to flame-bait, merely that you do so without an audience (offlist). What's wrong with that?

It worked on Rara Avis for the better part of a decade until very recently. If you had a bit more time on the list under your belt, you might have been cognizant of that. Not suggesting that you're part of the problem, you understand, just making a point.
