I bought a copy of this at a Bouchercon one year and never
opened it. I remember talking to Block at one point around
this time and learning that he considered the buffalo (I
know, I know, it's a bison) his totem animal and was visiting
every city and town named Buffalo in the U.S. He'd even
stayed in Buffalo, Texas, a small crossroads town on IH
45.
