I haven't read the book and I've seen the film only once (and
then only on TV), but I still thought it was interesting.
Lots of screaming, though, as someone mentioned, and it gets
annoying. Should watch it again to really elaborate, but I
seem to remember thinking there were critical notions about
capitalism and masculinity or something to that effect.
(Maybe it was because I'd been reading Robin Wood's
essays.)
