This is my chance to brag on Rara Avis that I have done the
DB Cooper jump 3 times, twice at 175 knots and once at 200
knots, out the back chute of a 727 jet, as he did. Not in the
dark over rough country, however, and I didn't have a sack of
money. It's a wild ride, though, let me tell you. On the 200
knot
jump, some of my lines flew out and tangled from the
boost of wind against my back. If anybody wants to read about
it, I believe the story is still on tartcity.com, in the
travel section. It was a piece I did for the London Guardian
when Sky Blues came out. Vicki
