nowadays to object to any kind of generic labeling of

(which ties to your comment about it being dismissive). But
since there has to be some way of referring to something,
some more vague or politically correct term or phrase is
offered up. Second and foremost, it is presently incredibly
fashionable to get anally indignant about the smallest
trivialities.
