I particularly enjoyed any of the Deaf Man stories starting
with "Let's Hear It For the Deaf Man" and "Hark!" both
particularly stand out in my mind. It seems as though for
these stories, given that there's a well-established baddie,
the well-established characters seem to work a little bit
harder.

I've read a good number of them, but I have no favorites.
They're all
good and once I finish one, I completely forget about it.
McBain's
skill is always a pleasure to reencounter. Fantastic writer,
much
missed. He didn't hit you over the head with his
personality.
