**************** I do think that The Real Cool Killers is at
least partially a parody of hardboiled. I think I'd probably
hesitate to agree with it being absurd in a Camus sense,
though. To me, the absurdity is just a superficial part of
the situational humor, but I think the passion, commitment,
and idealism that Grave Digger and Coffin Ed display,
especially coupled with the results they get, undermine
Camus.
