Karin Montin on typos:

I recommend reading any Ken Bruen you can get your hands on.

************ I finished the White Trilogy a couple months back. Through the first two I wasn't overly impressed. There was a recurrent element of coincidence through all the novels that detracted from the realism. And by the end of the second one, it seemed like all the characters were just variations on one character cycling through different phases of sentimentality, cynicism, graveyard humor, loss, and vigilante violence. In the third novel it's even noted that a female detective is becoming like the main protagonist.

Nevertheless, the humor is superb and I finished the third one thinking that someday I might try another one.
