I'm rethinking Red Harvest myself. I haven't read the book in ages but I have a copy handy. Faulkner's Sanctary looks interesting, I read a synopsis on line and I'll get a copy to read. Little Caesar -- I've only see the movie -- sounds more like hardboiled crime to me too.
