Polito's is of the best bios of a writer I've read. And it
helped me track down JT points of interest here in San Diego
where he lived and wrote. Incidentally JT's favorite haunt ,
the Peacock Cafe at the Hanalei Hotel in Mission Valley was
recently closed and gutted.
