That's a good one, miker. I was turned onto it, and many
other B noirs, by Barry Gifford's Devil Thumbs a Ride, which
is a fun read.
You might also want to check out the much later film with the
same title, featuring Drew Barrymore. It doesn't have a whole
lot in common with the original, beyond being a couple on the
run movie, but has some of the same spirit.
