I didn't know Wormser was a documentarian. My understanding
was that he was an old-time pulpster who survived into the
PBO era.
His Edgar-winner, THE INVADER (Best PBO Novel of 1972), was a
damned good cop novel about a rural sheriff in an unnamed
Southwestern state (apparently Arizona or New Mexico) who
resists encroachment into his community by a Mafia figure who
wants to turn the place into the new Appalachin.
