RARA-AVIS: Noir films

Hi everyone:

There's been lots of discussion of noir films in recent posts. Assuming noir is about attitude, then I submit Spike Lee's
"The 25th Hour" as a fine example of noir. (Man is faced with his last day before prison. How does he handle it?). Gripping soundtrack, to boot.

I think it's a terrific film, although the box office receipts did not agree with me.
