That LCC remark is beyond deserving of any commentary. Moving
onto a more positive topic, congratulations on your recent
string of absolutely brilliant novels, including American
Skin, Calibre, The Dramatist, Magadelen Martrys, Priest, and
(my favorite) Cross. These are all terrific books that have
such brilliant poetic vision and voice to them and leading
the way into a new era in crime fiction, and of course,
making things easier for the rest of us by showing publishers
that this is a market for well-written darker more noirish
crime novels. Any word on what's coming in the future?
