Charles Williams' Hot Spot was made in 1990 directed by Dennis Hopper and starring Don Johnson, Jennifer Connelly, and Virginia Madsen. Although it was updated and set in the current time, Hopper really caught Williams' original noir well. Johnson did a great job as Harry and Virginia Madsen was fantastic as the femme fatale Dolly. Thumbs up!
