Amy & Vicki-- Maybe more women would appreciate the genre if exposed to notable women noir writers of the classic era: Mary (a.k.a Marty) Holland (personal fave), Virginia Kellog, Lenore Coffee, Vera Caspary, Leigh Brackett, Dorothy Hughes, etc.
