I saw the Quarry short a few years ago at Bouchercon and it was excellent, hard and tight in all the right ways. Nice low-key performances, and a killer twist. It would have made a great little episode on FALLEN ANGELS.

Collins has really made the most out of that little tale. First a short story, then a short film, then it served as the opening bit for the recent THE LAST QUARRY novel, and is currently being developed as a feature film, as they say.

When the film comes out, maybe he can do the novelization too. Or the comic book. Or the novelization of the comic book adapted from the film based on the novel based on the short film based on the short story.
