RARA-AVIS: Harold Adams

Dick is sure right about Harold Adams. A masterful writer. Health reasons forced him to slow down and then to stop writng altogether. He could also write short stories well. I'd always wanted to get him in one of the anthologies Marty Greenberg and I were doing back then. Harold always said he wasn't any good with the form. Finally I browbeat him into doing one for a book called MURDER FOR FATHER. It is a powerful story--ugly, brooding, tragic. The best in the book and he had some heavy duty competition.
