Has anyone read anything by Thomas Palmer? I just ran into a
translation of his THE TRANSFER (1983) and the dust jacket
blurb compared him to Chandler and Elmore Leonard. True or
false? The book seems to be Palmer's only novel (even though
I find a reference to a book called DREAM SCIENCE by Thomas
Palmer, but I don't know if it's the same guy). The publisher
was an obscure house, Ticknor (they also published STRAIGHT
CUT by Madison Smartt Bell that Hard Case is
reprinting).
