Since I'm reading so much Charles Williams I thought I'd
throw in some observations about his narrative technique. In
his first person narration the narrator often withholds
information from the reader and then let's the reader
discover through his actions what he already knows.
It's the opposite of some first-person narration and a lot of
third-person narration where the reader is ahead of the
protoganist in what he knows about the unfolding
storyline.
