Hello Everyone,

The only one of these books I'm familiar with is the Dennis Dooley volume, which I read a while back. It provided some interesting insights into Hammett's work. It essentially points out the same aspects of his writing as many other critical works but, I found, in a more consise manner. Overall, I found it a worthwhile read, at least as an introduction to Hammett if nothing else.

All the best. Harry Lerner
