I'll come out of lurk mode and recommend A KEY TO THE SUITE
as a good, non-McGee novel from MacDonald. Sex, blackmail and
office politics at a sales convention. A trifle dated in its
depiction of women, but it captures the feel of its time.
Even so, the themes it explores of working in corporate
America--the political machinations, the backstabbing, the
compromises--are still relevant.
