Thanks for posting the link to this. Sallis is often my favorite writer. I just finished Cripple Creek, and loved it. I have to slow down when I read him because I fear I'm missing too much; I barely remember Cyprus Grove and that is a shame.

Other recent reads of interest to the list are The Dramatist, by Ken Bruen and Hit Man by Duane Swierczynski. Both are terrific. I rememember some on this list don't care for the Bruen's Jack Taylor series, and nothing in The Dramatist will change your mind.

Hit Man actually isn't that recent a read for me and I've been meaning to post on it for a while. I chain-read it and Drive by Sallis and they went perfectly together.

I have a bunch of Lansdale books on deck.
